Your patience and efforts definitely paid off. Very well done, and maybe BDX will finally agree that your improving this time around.
Your animation skills have managed to improve, as the movement and details are more fluid and polished, yet you have not heavily altered the familiar style. You're also getting more creative with the action.
I was glad to help. : D

Jonbro, you are totally right for making this. I won't butcher your score for poor animation/sound quality since I know that wasn't your focus in this. You wanted to send a point across and for one night's worth of work you did a great job.
And as for you Mr Paperbat, you need to seriously evalute the shit you and your cohorts are doing. If you're doing it "just for fun", then keep your twisted definition of fun out of the portal.
On top of that, its a sad truth that the general audience overlooks most things that aren't sprites or 'awesome movies'. The fact that you and the others exploit this for status and merit is absolutely sick. You're no better than the movie making robots that milk cashcow actors for more money. You have no appreciation for art and you're nothing better than a conveyor belt spilling out shells of garbage. You and the rest of that lot.
If you want to do something meaningful then try making a movie that goes against the tide, something that appeals to the handful of intelligent folk out there. That's what artists do.
If you have any dignity left in you then you'll quit Sprite-A-Day.
I applaud the Kitty Krew's noble efforts.
Jonbro, you quoted well. "You cannot rush art."

The idea for this is great. I especially enjoyed the character given to the parasite, very nice. Chances are this movie will sink into the abyss of underground classics, but it is definitely a worthwhile cartoon. I got a good laugh from it.
The low quality sound was making me nauseous... please improve that next time.
Thumbs up. Good for a nice coffee break from a busy day.

I watched brawl taunts 3 and didn't even smile... then I watched this and was laughing so hard I changed colors. You guys are true artists, and you know what matters. This movie made my day, just as Metal Gear Funnies did. Keep up the win.

Superb quality. This is definitely a style Sega/Sonic Team should be moving closer to. The animation was abundant and eye catching.
My complaints:
*The music was terribly low quality, it kind of detracted from the experience.
*The blur filter in the beginning was graphic intensive, it slowed down the animation. You should use filters like blur/glow sparingly. You might be able to prerender a blur effect for Sonic.
*And the logo that zooms in at the end... also was a little intensive. There are ways to fix that, but it would take too long to explain.
The things that are graphic intensive... I'm sure its pointless to worry about those, since you'll probably be converting this to a video file or something.
Thumbs up. Its refreshing to see an animation with the oldschool theme.

Ok.
I have to admit.
That was funny.
For being an obvious parody, it was worth it.
But for its spam-like nature, I can't grant it a high score for general quality.
Still, I found it really funny for some reason.

Well, as long as you approve, I can keep my life

Only about half of this movie had good advice. Also, PaperBat, you ignored my suggestions for some reason, after saying you would change it. But thats personal so I won't let that affect the review.
You left out excellent sources. Sprite Database is too overlooked, it would've been a much better suggestion than Sprite City. Also, Mystical Forest Zone is a very good background resource that should've been added.
This is right on the boundary of basic and advanced. It probably would be advanced if you had touched upon much more techniques like sprite editing. For instance, Game Maker's sprite editor works much better than importing whole sheets into Flash and animating them. You don't have to worry about Flash crashing from a large sheet, the gifs are readily animated by import, and you can edit the sprites animations before import very effictively.
Also, NEVER trace bitmap backgrounds. The only point of ever tracing a background would be to delete colors you want transparent, but that can easily be done in another program, seeing as they're only 1 frame or so. Tracing backgrounds, especially large ones, does nothing but cause tons of lag. It has virtually no advantage at all.
There are only a few good points in here, such as the "crouch jump", to make sprites look less static, as well as easing and FPS suggestions. There are even better techniques for improving jump animations that could've been included, such as making horizontal jumps look more realistic.
This tutorial had potential for shedding light on some of the lesser talked about "good" sprite techniques, it even did somewhat, but it was ruined with lack of completeness and misleading advice. It teetered on a 7, but the very disappointment I got from this dropped it to a 6.
Author's Response:
Well these are techniques that were taught to me from various sprite artist, so i guess everyone has there own way of doing things, there isnt a "RIGHT" was to animate sprites, just various things that help other people.
As for the sites, The reason i couldent change them was because the voiceactor was asleep, so i couldent get them changed.
Thank for the review anyways

First of all, I'm sorry you came here only to have faggots with no appreciation for art or talent bitch about no storyline or plot. They should just unplug their computers and all entertainment possesions and live in miserable silence, since they don't know anything about art or animation. That or they should die in a fire, that would also make the world that much better.
End rant, sorry. I think this makes an excellent experimental Flash. You added less linear elements than a usual movie and that is a worthy experiment of some kind. The music choice was great. My only major complaint is the drawing quality of the scenery. I design fictional landscapes, on paper and on screen. Its one of my lesser known talents on the net. Work on your perspective and ambient lighting, that would really make things nice. Another thing to learn about is atmospherics. With large landscapes like that, it would definitely help. Also, the moon is within the view, so along with the mentioned ambient lighting, you could add some silhoutte to the mountains. I could talk about this for a while, but I'll leave it at that. I also recommend refined details and more landscape features, and maybe multiple scenes to choose from. So far it looks great, I'll bet if you worked on your landscape designs and techniques you could make some really neat stuff.
Author's Response:
The multiple scenes to choose from was something I really considered, but I never got around to :\ I probably should have. Thank you for your review, you obviously know what you are talking about and I respect that greatly.
