not all sprite movies made in movie maker suck just most of them and edius4 is really good for making flash animations also.

I've not seen ONE good sprite movie made with movie maker. And I've seen a LOT of movie maker sprite movies. Please, show me at least one.
YAY NASF2!!! But about the Arena, is it gonna be competing with ssf2? Cuz Mr Mcleod's got his own site with a sprite workshop and a million people helping him build stages and events and characters and stuff. I think you should finish Super Chuck Norris Bros.
I played the demo of Super Smash Flash 2 and so far my game is much better (I'm not biased, but my game is much more slick and feels more like Smash Bros)...
i know this sounds stupid but, did you make custom sprites for TMG (i know how hard that is for comlex movments)? eventually tou will have to make more complex sprites; are you really willing to do that much work? that could take alot of time that most fans wont wait for. i just hope that you dont end up like Alvin-Earthworm and SMBZ where he hates his fans for pestering him. i just don't want another person with ACTUAL talent to go, so don't rush or procrastonate with your work.

I did make quite a few customs for TMG actually, and Brother was 100% custom. And for NASF 2 the majority of Mario sprites I will be using will be customs. I don't like being pestered by fans but that won't make me quit, nor do I hate the people that pester me. It would take a LOT to make me want to quit. And by a lot I probably mean a life or death situation.

This regards SSBA. Are you gonna release screenshots, newcomers, and stages? Also a cheat page to tell you where the character can be obtained. But just don't add characters you want like how they did in Super Smash Flash.
Yes there will soon be a video released to show off the game play. And the characters I'm adding will mostly be what other people want. You'll see how that works out, trust me...
Also, make sure to make the game so that the characters don't fly off the screen in three hits.
The engine feels much more solid than Smash Flash, my friend even said it felt just like Smash Bros itself. The damage system is also more accurate than Smash Flash.

I don't know what you mean by "making the custom sprites more 'challenging'". And Mystery Project 2 is a 3D animation. Meaning me and my friends will have 3D personas. And SSBA won't be out for quite a while. I will release a preview video on YouTube as soon as I can.

Sprite movies got bad rep because of shit movies/games made by bad flash makers. And there have been a few falme wars over the years (on the General BBS) about how sprite movies suck.
bad sprite movies suck, good sprite movies are good.

Sprite haters don't seem to realize its not stealing. Its an art form to replicate video game graphics in a complex environment. Its not like you can steal Mario, you certainly wouldn't get very far. Admittedly sprites are not better than hand drawn animation.
I for one won't be in sprite animation much longer. I'd say when TMG is over, then I'm putting up sprites for good, except maybe for a few small exceptions. I want to make hand drawn animation, especially when I get a tablet.
Also I have started in 3D animation too, and I'm getting to be very good at it. I won't reveal any of that work soon though.
I'd say the real problem with sprites is, even when the movies are good, they take higher ranks than hand drawn movies, which no matter what are always better than using sprites. I agree, its not fair, and many sprite animators need to take responsibility when this occurs.

I'm not revealing any info about TMG now. However TMG 2 is in the works but like I said, I'm having a difficult time pulling it together. Artist's block really.
Actually I know this one guy on YouTube who makes sprite movies without flash or Swish, his YT Name is BlueBlur66 and he is really talented with the program he uses.
He uses Edius 4, which still doesn't beat Flash.
